Class A Football-First Round Moorefield vs. Wheeling Central

Moorefield Football lost to Wheeling Central in the first round of the Class A Football Playoffs, 47-6.

The Maroon Knights set a new preliminary round record with 510 rushing yards.

2009 East Hardy State Volleyball

East Hardy Volleyball lost in the Quarterfinals of the WVSSAC State Volleyball Tournament in Charleston last Friday to Charleston Catholic, 26-24, 25-14, 25-11.

The Lady Irish won the Class A Volleyball Title.

2009 East Hardy Volleyball- Sectional Champs

East Hardy Volleyball defeated Pendleton County in straight sets to claim the Region II Section 2 Title.

The Lady Cougars won 25-21, 25-18, and 25-14.

East Hardy will play Trinity in the Region II A Championship this Saturday in West Union.

Pendleton County will play Doddridge County in the Region II B Championship in West Union on Saturday.  Both games are at 6:00 p.m.

Doddridge County won 25-22, 25-11, and 25-11 over Trinity.

Moorefield Football won its fifth consecutive Potomac Valley Conference Championship

with a 13-6 victory over Pendleton County.

The Yellow Jackets secured a playoff spot and is currently tied for 12th place.
