JMU Alex Foltz


On Saturday, March 21st, Alex Foltz went 2 for 4 with one run in an 11-1 victory over Northeastern.
Foltz got a double as he sent the ball flying down the left field line in the fifth inning.
In the sixth inning, Foltz singled to short to juice the bases.
Teammate, David Herbek hit a ground rule double to bring Foltz home.
The Dukes exploded for nine runs in the sixth inning.
Foltz is currently fifth on the team with a batting average of .317.
Foltz leads the team in steal attempts (11), walks (13), stolen bases (t-9), fielding percentage (t-1.000).
Foltz has 21 runs (t-3rd) on the season thus far and is third on the team with an on base percentage of .463.
Foltz is enjoying his experience at James Madison and is studying Kinesiology with a concentration in Sports Management.
“My experience here is great. I hope that we can repeat as Conference champs and go a little further than we did last year,” Foltz said.
His family comes out to watch his games on a regular basis.
The younger East Hardy Foltz clan of baseball talent; Kollin, Kolby, and Korey enthusiastically watched and cheered for Alex.
